The ResMed S9 Filter Cover is the genuine replacement clip-on door for the air intake compartment located at the back of your S9 series machine. It holds your CPAP air filter securely in place, ensuring all incoming airflow passes directly through the filter media before reaching the internal motor.  

If your original cover has been misplaced during a filter change, cracked from an accidental drop, or the locking latch has lost its tension, replacing this part is crucial. Running your device without a secure filter cover can cause the air filter to slip out of place, allowing dust, lint, and pet dander to bypass filtration and enter the machine's internal electronics.

Care and Maintenance Tips:

• When to replace: Check the plastic tabs whenever you replace your monthly filter. If you notice structural cracking, deep discoloration, or if the cover loose-fits and fails to snap tightly, it requires immediate replacement.  
• Cleaning: Wipe down the outer surface weekly with a damp cloth or wash by hand with warm water and a mild, fragrance-free dish soap. Ensure the cover is completely dry before snapping it back onto your machine. Never clean the cover with alcohol, bleach, or household disinfectant sprays, as these harsh chemicals can cause the rigid plastic to turn brittle over time.
