About the Product
Restore the stable, comfortable, and personalised fit of your sleep therapy with the genuine Fisher & Paykel Brevida Replacement Headgear. Over time, even premium CPAP mask straps naturally stretch, wear down, or lose their original elasticity from exposure to facial oils and frequent cleaning. When headgear stretches out, you may find yourself overtightening the straps to stop leaks, which leads to localized pressure points and skin irritation. Swapping in a fresh headgear instantly updates your current setup, keeping your mask securely in place all night long.
Key Features & Benefits:
- Ultra-Lightweight & Minimalist: Designed with a slim, unobtrusive profile that reduces facial contact and eliminates bulk at the back of your head, keeping you cool and comfortable.
- Fully Adjustable Velcro™ Tabs: Features intuitive, easy-to-use Velcro side straps that allow you to fine-tune and lock in your individual tension settings for a truly custom fit.
- Maintains a Reliable Seal: Holds your Brevida AirPillow™ cushion perfectly positioned in and around your nostrils, absorbing your night-time movements without breaking the seal.
- Gentle-on-Skin Fabric: Constructed from soft, high-grade fabric with smooth edge lines that sit gently against your hair and face to minimize friction and prevent morning strap marks.
⚠️ Important Product Note: This package includes the replacement headgear strap only. It does not include the plastic headgear clips required to connect it to the mask frame, nor does it include the mask frame, elbow, swivel, or silicone cushions. These components must be purchased separately.
Care and Replacement Guide:
- When to Replace: It is recommended to replace your CPAP headgear every 6 to 12 months. If you notice the Velcro tabs slipping, the fabric fraying, or find yourself constantly tightening the straps to avoid air leaks, it is time for a fresh replacement.
- Weekly Cleaning Routine: Hand wash the headgear weekly in warm water using a mild, unfragranced liquid soap. Avoid using harsh dish soaps, bleach, chlorine, alcohol, or heavily scented antibacterial products, as these chemicals will cause the fabric to prematurely break down.
- Drying Instructions: Gently press or squeeze out the excess water, do not wring or twist the fabric. Lay it completely flat or hang it to air dry entirely out of direct sunlight before reassembling. Do not place in a mechanical clothes dryer and do not iron.
