This simple, adjustable accessory is designed to gently hold your jaw in a closed position during sleep, preventing mouth leaks and dry mouth.

This is the standard "Single Strap" model, a popular choice for its ease of use and minimalist profile. It is an essential add-on for users of Nasal or Nasal Pillow masks who struggle with keeping their mouth closed at night.

Key Features

Prevents Mouth Leaks: By keeping the jaw closed, the strap ensures that CPAP air pressure remains in your airway rather than escaping through your mouth. This helps maintain the efficacy of your therapy.

Reduces Dry Mouth: Helps eliminate the sore throat and severe dry mouth caused by sleeping with your mouth open.

Simple & Adjustable: Features a single-strap design that wraps under the chin and over the top of the head. The Velcro fastener allows you to quickly adjust the tension for a secure, custom fit.

Soft Cloth Cup: The chin section is made of a soft fabric that cups the chin comfortably, providing support without digging into the skin.

Who is this for?

This chin strap is an ideal solution for:

  • Nasal Mask Users: Patients using Nasal (e.g., AirFit N20) or Nasal Pillow (e.g., AirFit P10) masks who wake up with a dry mouth.
  • Mouth Breathers: Those who naturally breathe through their mouth but prefer the lightweight feel of a nasal mask over a bulkier full face mask.
  • Active Sleepers: Users whose jaw tends to drop open when they enter deep sleep phases.

Compatibility
The ResMed Chin Strap is universally compatible. It can be worn alongside almost any brand of CPAP mask.

Usage Tip: For the best results and mask seal, fit the chin strap first, and then place your CPAP mask and headgear over the top of it.

Note: If you are using a Full Face mask, a chin strap is usually not required, although some users still find it helpful for additional jaw stability.

Care & Maintenance

To keep your chin strap fresh and elastic:

Wash: Hand wash weekly in warm (not hot) water using a mild soap.

Dry: Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry out of direct sunlight. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.

Replace: Over time, the elasticity will relax. It is recommended to replace the strap every 6 months or when the Velcro no longer holds securely.
