The Air Liquide Medical Systems Respireo™ SOFT Child Non-Vented paediatric nasal mask is designed specifically for children aged 1.5 to 6 years (10–20 kg) receiving non-invasive positive pressure ventilation (NIPPV). Built in collaboration with paediatric specialists, its non-vented design lacks built-in exhalation ports, making it ideal for institutional or home clinical ventilation circuits utilizing external exhalation valves or dual-limb systems.

Important Safety & Clinical Usage Warning:

• Non-Vented Mask Hazard: This mask contains no intentional leak/exhalation orifices. It MUST be used with a ventilator circuit equipped with an active, functional exhalation valve or external exhaust system.  
• Clinical Monitoring: Do not block or seal external valve lines. Ensure continuous oxygen/pressure monitoring according to the attending physician's prescription.

Care and Maintenance Guidance:

• Daily Cleaning: Separate headgear from mask frame. Hand wash cushion and frame daily in warm water using a mild CPAP cleanser or non-moisturising liquid dish soap.
• Weekly Care: Hand wash the 5-point headgear straps weekly in warm soapy water.
• Drying: Rinse thoroughly with fresh water and allow to air dry completely on a towel out of direct sunlight. Do not autoclave, tumble dry, or place in a dishwasher.
• Replacement Schedule: Replace silicone cushions every 1 to 3 months, and complete mask frames/headgear every 6 months or upon sign of physical wear.
