Deliver fast, effective aerosol medication treatments with the genuine Salter Labs® 8900 Small Volume Nebulizer (SVN) Kit. Designed for high-efficiency medication delivery to the lower respiratory tract, this complete kit features an anti-spill nebulizer cup capable of operating at up to a 45-degree angle, providing treatment flexibility for seated or reclining patients.

Equipped with both a contoured adult aerosol mask and an angled mouthpiece, it offers versatile delivery options for bronchodilators, saline, and other prescribed liquid inhalation therapies.

Key Features:

  • Anti-Spill Chamber Design: Features a quarter-turn, leak-resistant cap seal that prevents medication spills even if tilted up to 45 degrees, ideal for bedridden or reclining users.
  • Optimal Particle Delivery: Engineered to produce fine mist aerosol with a high percentage of particles in the respirable range (< 5 microns), ensuring maximum deep-lung deposition.
  • Dual Delivery Options: Includes both a comfortable, contoured adult mask and an angled mouthpiece with a tee adapter to cater to individual patient comfort and breath-delivery preference.
  • Clear Liquid Graduations: Stamped capacity markings (up to 6 cc/mL) allow precise dosing and monitoring of remaining medication volume.
  • Crush-Resistant Tubing: Supplied with 7 feet of star-lumen safety tubing that maintains continuous airflow even if bent, twisted, or kinked.

Product Specifications:

  • Chamber Capacity: 6 cc / mL
  • Optimal Flow Rate: 6 to 8 LPM (Liters Per Minute)
  • Target Particle Size: ~80% of particles within 1–5 micron respirable range
  • Tubing Length: 7 Feet (approx. 2.1 meters) with star-lumen inner core
  • Patient Sizing: Adult (Mask) / Universal (Mouthpiece)
  • Usage Rating: Single-Patient Use (Disposable)

Compatibility & Application
Compressor System Compatibility:

  • Connects via standard universal push-on tubing connectors to all standard home and clinical compressor nebulizer systems (e.g, Pari, Drive Medical, Omron, Devilbiss, Philips Respironics).
  • Medication Compatibility: Designed for common aerosolized liquid medications, including bronchodilators (Albuterol/Atrovent), corticosteroids, mucolytics, and sterile saline solutions.

What’s Included:

  • 1 x Salter 8900 High-Efficiency Nebulizer Chamber Cup (6 cc capacity)
  • 1 x Soft Contoured Adult Aerosol Mask with Elastic Strap
  • 1 x Angled Inhalation Mouthpiece
  • 1 x T-Piece / Reservoir Tube Adapter
  • 1 x 7-Foot Safety Supply Tubing with Standard Connector Cuff

Care and Usage Guidance:

  • Assembly & Dosing: Unscrew the nebulizer cap, add prescribed liquid medication into the chamber (do not exceed 6 mL), reattach the cap securely, and connect the desired delivery attachment (mouthpiece or adult mask).
  • Cleaning (Between Uses): After each treatment, disconnect the nebulizer cup, rinse all chamber parts thoroughly with warm tap water, shake off excess moisture, and air dry on a clean towel.
  • Disinfection: Once daily, soak disassembled nebulizer chamber parts (excluding tubing) in a solution of 1 part white vinegar and 3 parts warm water for 30 minutes, rinse with warm water, and air dry completely.
  • DO NOT WASH TUBING: Keep the interior of the 7-foot supply tubing dry. Never submerge the air supply tube in water; clear any condensation by running air from the compressor through the tube alone for 1–2 minutes.
  • Replacement Schedule: Designed for single-patient disposable use. Replace the nebulizer cup and tubing every 2 to 4 weeks (or sooner if medication build-up occurs or nebulization time slows significantly).
